On the occasion of World Diabetes day, IGM Hospital along with ADK Pharmaceutical company and STO, has organized an event to screen and increase awareness on diabetes.
In a tweet, IGMH stated that this session will be held at the Male’ North Harbor area, this week on Thursday. Furthermore, this session will be held between 10:00AM to 12:00PM.
Every year November 14th is marked as the World Diabetes Day. The theme for World Diabetes Day 2018 and 2019 is "The Family and Diabetes".
To prepare for World Diabetes Day 2019, the Health Ministry and other health care providers from the Maldives has started to increase community awareness on diabetes and its effects.
Furthermore, the IGMH tweet stated that during this session public can check their weight and height, blood pressure and screen for diabetes.
