Hulhumale’ hospital has undertaken their first orthopedic surgery, in collaboration with IGM Hospital.
This surgery was performed on the 7th of November, by IGMH orthopedic specialist Dr. Yoosuf Shan.
Previously, an orthopedic specialist has been consulting at the Hulhumale’ hospital OPD, but this is the first time that hospital has undertaken an orthopedic surgery. Now, with the help of IGMH, the hospital hopes to continue undertaking orthopedic surgeries.
According to the deputy CEO of Aasandha company, as cited by Mihaaru news, orthopedic doctors from IGMH will be consulting in Hulhumale’ hospital every week. Moreover, the hospital will also be performing orthopedic surgeries in correlation with the demand.
Moreover, it is the government’s goal to establish a national orthopedic center at Hulhumale’ hospital.
