Maldives government is spending massive amounts for the Maldivian Health Industry, says vice president of Maldives, his Excellency Faisal Naseem.

While speaking at the “National conference on revitalizing public health: working together for a healthier nation” Vice president stated that government is putting a huge effort into the development of the Maldives Health Industry. Moreover, he said that government strategic action plan has a clear future for the Maldives health Industry at this moment.

In this conference the topics for discussion include changes between different age groups of the population, the Health issues occurring in this community and also regarding Healthy eating habits we have to establish. Furthermore, the conference will discuss the lifestyle and living standards of the community and non-communicable diseases that are present. 

It was discussed and stated that the health sector would successfully complete the milestones of the health industry as per the strategic action plan for the 5 years of this presidential term and a plan to achieve this would be compiled. Also, to help achieve these milestones, and to help different sectors of the heath industry to work together, a public health chart will also be signed.

While giving the speech at the conference held at Paradise Island resort, Vice president further stated that Maldives can do better work to improve the health industry compared to other countries.
